Lady Gaga Talks the Talk but Michael Jackson Walked the Walk

Most people would be shocked if they saw the scenes of mass hysteria, especially the ones in London, that surrounded Michael Jackson- especially from the past 7-8 years.

The general public don’t see to realise that MJ ALWAYS had that, his whole life. There was never a time he didn’t. He lived that every day. 
You can see people like head of AEG Live, Brandon Phillips and former ‘advisor’ Tohme Tohme and others who had never witnessed it before just looking on in awe and grabbing MJ to try and protect him from the crowds even though Michael was so used to it and an expert at protecting himself and his children from fans and paparazzi.

Michael Jackson appearing ANYWHERE was like an out of this world experience. It stopped people in their tracks.

He closed roads, stopped traffic - there were cops, cops on horses, police cars and vans and fans running through streets like Godzilla was coming.

Nobody else will EVER create such mass hysteria in the way that Michael did, for as many decades as he did.

There will also never be another star who treated his fans so kindly, who posed for photos even though he was the worlds most photographed man, who invited them into his home, who let them ride his funfair rides, who let them in to watch a movie in his cinema theatre or who let them into his hotel room etc He personally gave 2 fans I know presents and let one of them take any magazine she wanted from the living room at Neverland (she chose one about Ferris Wheels).

On top of all that - his personality, his achievements - he lived in Neverland, he became a real king in Africa, he was a part of Motown, he broke every record you can think of, he gave so much to charity, he was so intelligent, he created dance moves that inspired generations, he broke down race barriers via MTV, he experienced a level of fame that noone has ever experienced, he was the whole package - Lady Gaga etc can talk about how big they are and how big they’ll be but there will never ever be another Michael Jackson…the most interesting, complex and successful entertainer to ever live. You can’t fabricate that.

At the hitRECord SUMMER IN THE CITY show tonight, we made a whole bunch of stuff.  Spontaneous crowd story-writing, Tiny Stories readings, mass audio/video/trumpet/violin time lapse jam, and of course we played a bunch of our RECords.

We also upheld a (as of yet) young tradition to do at least one thing at our live shows that cannot be used (since intellectual property laws these days are so out-of-date) for further productions, but are only done for the fun of it at the moment.  We don’t upload this stuff to hitRECord.org — but if somebody puts it on YouTube (thanks winegodof), well at least it wasn’t me who’s “breaking the law”.  :Op

The justice system is a complete and utter joke. I don’t even have the energy or the words to descibe it. I’m so tired of how the world treated and continues to treat a man who gave us and taught us so much. Rest in peace Michael.
